About this role
- Record daily accounting transactions, including sales invoices, supplier invoices, receipts and payment vouchers, and journal entries.
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable, suppliers, and accounts receivable, customers.
- Follow up on outstanding customer balances and assist with collection activities.
- Verify supplier invoices and their supporting documents before recording them and processing payments.
- Assist with reconciling bank, cash, customer, supplier, and agent accounts.
- Prepare payment requests and ensure that payments are properly documented and recorded.
- Assist with handling foreign currency transactions and exchange rate differences.
- Maintain the organisation and completeness of accounting documents and supporting files.
- Assist with monthly and annual closing procedures.
- Prepare basic accounting reports and reconciliation schedules for management review.
- Follow up on prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, and other routine accounting adjustments.
- Coordinate with operations and sales teams to ensure that shipping costs and revenues are recorded correctly.
- Maintain the confidentiality of financial and company information.
